Our guiding star in this creative journey was the aesthetic of old, vintage matchboxes. This unique design direction provided a rich tapestry of inspiration, combining nostalgia with contemporary relevance. The intricate details, color palettes, and tactile essence of these matchboxes were infused into every design element, evoking a sense of timelessness.
Bob Geerts, known to many as “Bobeus”, brilliantly initiated this journey with a logo that resonated with our chosen style. Taking cues from his foundational work, I endeavored to ensure that the vintage matchbox-inspired aesthetic permeated every aspect of the convention.
Digital prints, from banners to posters, embraced this old-world charm, melding it seamlessly with the modern essence of tattoo artistry. Promotional materials, too, weren’t just tools of information; they were artifacts that encapsulated the convention’s spirit, rich in history yet vibrantly current.
